What happens at a consultation
We'll ask about your medical history and what you hope to change, examine the area, and explain which options, if any, are suitable. Some treatments are prescription-only medicines, which can only be prescribed after a face-to-face assessment. Others, such as dermal fillers, are not. There's no obligation to go ahead.
Why see a dentist?
Dentists train in the anatomy of the face and mouth, and are registered with the General Dental Council, which you can check. Treatment is carried out by a dentist, not a beautician.
NHS or private?
Facial aesthetics is private treatment. Your dentist will always explain the options and give you a written estimate before treatment starts. How NHS charges and private fees work.
To confirm: Are facial aesthetics consultations offered at Bearsden, by whom, and is a consultation fee charged? Advertising rules: we promote the consultation only, with no product names, brand names or promotional prices.
Questions people ask
Do I have to have treatment after the consultation?
No. The consultation is to help you decide, and you're welcome to go away and think about it.
Can I book treatment directly?
No. We always start with a consultation, because some treatments need a face-to-face assessment and prescription first.
